I discovered your music very recently, and i saw your music on bandcamp.
The CD Journey: Transfiguration was at 1$, but now it's at 8$.
Did i miss the opportunity ? And, if i miss it, do you know how long this CD will remain available ?
Thanks for your work, and keep going your wondrful music !
Hi! You managed to discover Transfiguration during that tiny window in which I'd marked everything on bandcamp down to $0 for my 30th birthday! As of this morning it's all back to their normal price; the CD was $1 because I couldn't give a physical CD freely apparently.
That said, there is no shortage of them. I produced a bunch and so if you're interested in buying it, there is zero rush!
Actually, yes!! June 11th at Nokia, as part of Video Games Live's E3 show!! Tickets are just now on pre-sale I believe :)
Thank you so much for the nice words, and yes not everyone loves iTunes! You can also download it via the PlayStation Network, or buy physical CD's. The CD's are available from thatgamecompany's official store:
Or on Amazon:
I'm sorry to say it's not currently available for any streaming, nor AmazonMp3.
Yes absolutely!! Please email me via my website and we can definitely arrange for that!! And depending on how the timing of it works out, and where you're located, I can attend the concert! I have done this many times, including giving public workshops and whatnot as part of it. It's great fun and I am delighted to support it!!!
I think stage fright comes mainly from inexperience ... the more you get up in front of people the more natural it becomes. As far as I can tell, there's no trick really. It's simply a matter of forcing yourself to do it. But that shouldn't be hard if performing is something you love In other words, if you're only 'so so' about singing, it's hard to justify suffering through stage fright in order to do it. But if you LOVE it, then it's obviously worth it! :)
There is no transition ... I'm always looking for work! The type of jobs change as your career moves forward, but you should ALWAYS be hungry. Complacency is your worst enemy.
Also creativity shouldn't be relegated to your music alone. I firmly believe we should be creative in EVERY aspect of our career, including how we find work. Always be thinking outside the box ...
If you're just getting started there are two things of great importance for you: 1) Always be listening. Listen to music constantly, and of as many genres as you can think of. You should become a musical citizen of the World and do your best to kick over every rock out there.
and 2) Realize that music is an inward process. Writing something truly meaningful is very hard to do, and takes lots of soul searching and introspection. Focus very diligently and what's inside.
Nothing is currently planned but it's always possible!! Nothing makes it happen sooner than when someone gets the ball rolling ... :)
No performances planned for Seattle at the moment, though I go there fairly regularly for conferences, festivals (SIFF), etc. And yes I'm definitely a conductor and have already had the pleasure of conducting VGL in a number of places, in addition to a bunch of other concerts. Conducting is a major and passionate part of my life!!
Physical CD's are available via thatgamecompany's store now. Fan covers are consigned to YouTube, but there are a ton and they're all amazing!!
